I am from the north east. Our home in Tripura is about 111 (one hundred and eleven) years old and we still visit it , our relatives and friends etc. almost every year. i have spent my childhood and a part of my youth in different places of Tripura and Assam.
I am a direct recruit by the UPSC against 1 (one) post in India. At present, I am officiating as Asstt. Legisltaive Counsel (Bengali) in the Ministry of Law and Justice, Govt. of India, since 2004.
From my RESUME, I think it can be reasonably said that I have got a wide and effective exposure in the field of law including the process of administration of justice as a lawyer having about 11 (eleven) years of experience in the Bar and in the field of teaching subjects of Law.
I will be happy and grateful to be associated with your organisation and, if the Lord so wishes, may be able to provide material support whenever required.
I may make it clear that I don’t at all intend to claim any charges for my services (professional/technical) and I am not writing to you to mint money. On the contrary, being from north east India, I do consider it to be my duty and a rare privilege to be of help in this alien land when it is required the most.

Dear Sir,
NESC & Helpline is a much needed and the right platform to educate and highlight the social injustice and challenges faced by North Easterners. I, being a person from NE know so well the silent sufferings of my people. However, while we seek to voice and protect the NE people living in mailand India, it is also our duties and responsibilities to check the misgovernance and rampant corruption by our respective govts of the NE states.
We need to also asked ourselves, why we lack the desire and vision to fight for our dignity and pruposes. The education system in the NE is so outdated that the products of our universities, colleges, schools are unsuiable for any worthy solution for our social problems. Our mindsets are still narrow and selfish, trying to dominate over each other, endlessly. Now it’s time to wake up and fight for what is right.
It is also a fact that NE is consider by the powerful and corrupt people as safe haven for unprecendented corruption. The state govts with the smart and powerful people in the centre are looting the poverty tricken people every means of their livelihood shamelessly, be it PDS,NREGS, etc. See the recent report from http://www.resourcedigest.info for further info. In mainland India due to strong presence of media and social activists, corruption is no more safe for them. However, NE, yes, the people are still in 20th century. The loot continues.

It is very pathetic to know that people from North east India are treated very harshly in the capital. Even, the police are a threat to the North East people. North east Indians come from their land to Earn and for Education. Rather than peacefully residing in the capital, people are discriminated.
Also, to be kept in mind, only a certain percentage of the North Indians discriminate the north east people and very less in case of Delhiites. These few percentage of racists is heavily making a bad impact on the proud image of the North Indians. The reasons why a certain percentage of North Indians discriminate the North East people is solely because of the mongoloid look they are featured. I believe many FIRs and complaints must have been raised but the results are not always to the expectations.
For the information of the whole North East Community, the only solution to the ongoing problem is to have a respect for the North East people. And, respect can be earned only if people have fear in their minds, fear which would not led anyone to hurt, fear which would not led anyone to tease, fear which would not led anyone to rape etc.
It’s high time now. Fight Against These morons if you need to stay here. Besides that, it is wise to be back at homeland rather than facing the disrespect staying in Delhi. Get united- may it be from Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram, Sikkim, Meghalaya etc and fight back this racist and create a fear for them which would be beneficial for both present and future generations.

Whether Helpline will be help full for our northeast people?Noth east people are workingf in differnt differnt place.i hope still harshment is there,people are affried to express what will be happen in future.
we indians from the so called mainland lack sensitivity to our fellow countrymen from north east,as our attitudes are becoming bad to worse. i strongly feel that we indians are still divided by our multiple religions, castes and languages. this diversity of our nation that makes us proud is nothing but a sham. except for danny we still do not have a north eastern face for our cinema. it’s a big shame for us to think of ever becoming a superpower or a developed nation. shmae on us indians. hope the government is listening to the pleas of the our countrymen rather than simply robbing them.
I am from the mainland though I am also from the east of India. MY father is from U.P. and mother from Bengal. As my grandma was from Tripura I have a bit of northeast inside me too. I studied with Manipuri and Mizo guys in my college and will say that the northeast kids are far cooler than the ones from rest of India. I am a member of a communist party and my party is against AFSPA and discrimination agaisnt the north eastern people.
